hometown is in Haldwani (UP) but I never felt that I have chosen a consultant at
a far distance (Delhi).Iwish, this organization goes on and on supporting millions
of deserted students like me who would surely get misguided unless there is someone
like SAKUN to shelter them.

I would unhesitatingly recommend SAKUN, to all those who wish to study abroad. They
have been very helpful right from day one. They keep regular contact with their
students even in the destination country. I would call it a post landing relationship,
which makes us feel very close to our native country and gives us an understanding
that we have somebody close to us in the new world (destination country). They are
superb.

5 TOP REASONS FOR STUDYING IN ITALY
- Highly developed, industrialized economy.
- One of the most appreciated cultures in the world (and beautiful language).
- Incredible food and wine traditions.
- More UNESCO World Heritage sites than any other country.
- Sophisticated tourism infrastructure makes studying in Italy very pleasant.
|
LOCATION AND GEOGRAPHY
Italy, with a total area of 301,230 square kilometers, is a long, boot-shaped peninsula
extending into the Mediterranean Sea, plus the islands of Sicily and Sardinia. (San
Marino and Vatican City are small autonomous states embedded in Italy). France,
Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia adjoin to the north, the Adriatic and Ionian
Seas are to the east, and the Tyrrhenian Sea is to the west. Most of Italy is rugged,
mountainous terrain with the Alps in the north and the Apennines running the entire
length of the peninsula to Sicily. Rome is the capital city. Students from all over
the world come to study in italy.
STUDY IN ITALY
Italy has played an important role in European higher education: it is one of the
four countries that first engaged to create the so-called "European Area of Higher
Education" (Sorbonne Declaration, May 1998), thus starting that type of higher education
reform which, known as "Bologna Process" (Bologna Declaration, June 1999) is being
implemented all over Europe. Many people seek to study in Italy. Some want to study
art, cooking, fashion or language courses, Studying in Italy gives students access
to some of the most influential art, architecture, and history in the world. Italy
has many private schools and university-level institutions, some affiliated to American
universities, including business and commercial colleges, hotel and catering schools,
and language schools, which offer a selection of further education courses for school-leavers,
university graduates, workers and the unemployed. Florence and Venice naturally
are incomparable places to study art and fashion. Today Italy ranks among the 8
most industrialized countries in the world.
EDUCATION SYSTEM
Following a review of the system, control and management of education is being decentralised.
Previously, all education was controlled by the Ministry of Education. Greater administrative
and educational responsibility and autonomy are being transferred to the institutions
themselves. In 2008, further reforms were proposed, mainly for primary school education.
In 2000, Italy changed to a two-tiered school system: primary for five years, secondary
1st Grade (medie) for three years, and secondary 2nd Grade (scuola superiore) divided
into two years (bienno) and three years (trienno) of specialised learning (e.g.,
classical, scientific, technical and artistic studies). Italian higher education
is structured in a binary system, consisting of two main articulations: - the university
sector - the non-university sector. Students from all over the world come to study
in italy.
At present, the university sector is made up of 89 university institutions which
are classified in: - 58 State universities - 17 non-State universities (legally
recognized by the State) - 2 universities for foreigners - 6 higher schools specialized
in postgraduate university studies - 6 telemetric universities. The non-university
sector includes 4 education typologies with their institutions: - higher schools
of design: polytechnics for the arts, academies of fine arts, higher institutes
for applied arts, music conservatories and recognized music institutes, higher institutes
for musical and choreographic studies, national academies - higher education in
language mediation: higher schools for language mediators - higher integrated education
(FIS): programmes of higher technical education & training (IFTS) - a few specific
fields (e.g. archiving, diplomatics, restoration, military studies, etc.) which,
along with their respective institutions, falls under the supervision of ministries
other than that of Education.
REQUIRED TESTS
- Italian language skills-If mode of instruction is in Italian Language
- GMAT/GRE- Optional for Master courses
